★☆オアフ鉄道の歴史☆★

今はレールだけが存在してる、この鉄道はアメリカ製の小型蒸気機関車のです。
オアフ島は、19世紀後半から20世紀中頃にかけて、
アメリカ製の小型蒸気機関車による鉄道が重要な交通インフラとして機能していました。
この鉄道は、主に砂糖やパイナップルなどの農産物を港まで輸送し、
地元住民や観光客の移動手段として利用されました。

第二次世界大戦中には、軍事目的で一時的に需要が増加したものの、
戦後は自動車やトラック輸送の普及により需要が減少しました。
1947年頃には、ほとんどの路線が廃止されることとなりました。
